Glynis Butler-Stone, MS

Chief Executive Officer

Glynis Butler-Stone has over 25 years of nonprofit child welfare, social service, management and leadership experience. She received her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from CSU Sacramento, is a graduate of the Sierra Health Leadership Program and is a third-generation “Sacramentan”. Glynis has served in a variety of capacities focusing on implementing services for the most vulnerable children and families in the Sacramento region. With increasing leadership roles at several local child welfare agencies and previously served as Director of Clinical Services for CRH.

She is passionate about her work with children and families affected by trauma and Glynis continues to be actively involved in local and statewide reform and advocacy efforts. She is a member of the Heart Gallery of Sacramento Board and desires to bring her knowledge, skills, and passion for permanency to additional local children touched by the foster care system.                   

In addition to program development, Glynis brings experience in performance quality improvement, risk management, and strategic planning. In February 2020, CRH successfully achieved re-accreditation with the Council on Accreditation under her guidance and direction. Glynis is looking forward to leading the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento into the next phases of California’s Continuum of Care Reform (CCR).    

Glynis enjoys spending time with her husband and “furry” children, participates in as many dance and fitness classes weekly as she can, loves attending local theater events, and is a “die-hard” Sacramento Kings fan since 1985.

Erin Wood, LCSW

Interim Clinical Director

Erin Wood is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and oversees the Short-Term Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization, Supporting Community Connections and Sprouts Preschool programs, as well as the Quality Assurance Department. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California.

Erin relocated to Sacramento in 2015 from Los Angeles where she had been working at a non-profit children’s mental health agency for 10 years.  In addition to her mental health experience, she has 3 years of experience working in a level 12 residential treatment facility in Los Angeles County. Her experience includes school-based mental health services, outpatient mental health services, certification in numerous evidenced-based practices geared toward the treatment of children and adolescents, as well as clinical supervision and program coordination.

Danielle McGarrity

Development Director

Danielle has been helping people pursue their passion through philanthropy for more than 20 years. She oversees the agency’s fund development program, including stakeholder communications, annual and recurring giving, grant writing, workplace giving, major & planned gifts, special events, and impact reporting.

Originally from Seattle, Danielle led communications for the University of Washington Foundation and helped her alma mater raise funds for scholarships, professorships, and capital improvements. Upon relocating to Sacramento in 2016, she sought an organization committed to creating a level playing field and the chance at a successful life for youth who have suffered abuse or neglect. She is honored to work with the first-rate child advocates and mental health professionals at the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento and to play a small role in mitigating the harmful effects of neglect and abuse endured by our area’s children and teens.

Karen Gregg

Training Manager

Karen has 43 years of experience working with at-risk youth and families in a variety of therapeutic roles and can honestly say she continues to love every minute of the journey. She specializes in developing and providing supportive training for individuals who work in the mental health and educational field, with expertise in Crisis Intervention, Suicide Intervention and Commercial Sexual Exploitation. As the Training Manager, she oversees an extensive training program and supports the residential components of the Children’s Receiving Home. 

Sabrina Grijalva, LCSW

Clinical Program Manager

Sabrina Grijalva is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and manager of the Children’s Receiving Home’s  Short-Term Residential Treatment Program and Welcome Center. With a strong foundation in psychology and social work, Sabrina holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis, and a master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University.

With over 9 years of dedicated service at CRH, Sabrina has built a comprehensive career focused on improving the well-being of foster youth. Her expertise spans applied behavioral analysis community-based social services and intensive outpatient mental health services. Sabrina is also highly skilled in program coordination, working to ensure that CRH’s services are tailored to meet the unique needs of the children and families they support. Her commitment to fostering resilience and positive outcomes for youth in care has been a driving force throughout her career, and she continues to be an advocate for trauma-informed care and therapeutic practices that promote healing and growth.
