Glynis Butler-Stone has over 25 years of nonprofit child welfare, social service, management and leadership experience. She received her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from CSU Sacramento, is a graduate of the Sierra Health Leadership Program and is a third-generation “Sacramentan”. Glynis has served in a variety of capacities focusing on implementing services for the most vulnerable children and families in the Sacramento region. With increasing leadership roles at several local child welfare agencies and previously served as Director of Clinical Services for CRH.
She is passionate about her work with children and families affected by trauma and Glynis continues to be actively involved in local and statewide reform and advocacy efforts. She is a member of the Heart Gallery of Sacramento Board and desires to bring her knowledge, skills, and passion for permanency to additional local children touched by the foster care system.
In addition to program development, Glynis brings experience in performance quality improvement, risk management, and strategic planning. In February 2020, CRH successfully achieved re-accreditation with the Council on Accreditation under her guidance and direction. Glynis is looking forward to leading the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento into the next phases of California’s Continuum of Care Reform (CCR).
Glynis enjoys spending time with her husband and “furry” children, participates in as many dance and fitness classes weekly as she can, loves attending local theater events, and is a “die-hard” Sacramento Kings fan since 1985.
Ken Crittendon is a seasoned CFO with experience in finance, accounting, operations, technology, and strategic leadership across corporate, nonprofit, and startup environments. Ken spent 17 years in the Silicon Valley where he played key roles in bringing AT&T’s internet access business to the market, led the expansion of eBay’s national network, and partnered with Intel on mobile internet device initiatives. For the past 12 years, he has leveraged his corporate and startup experience to help nonprofits navigate fundamental challenges and transform, from complex grant operations to full scale reinvention.
Ken served as Interim CFO for two California associations, a large regional state contractor, and multiple nonprofits in the international open-source research community. While he addressed each organization’s unique needs the results coalesced into stabilized financial operations, new business insights, and opportunities for growth.
Ken holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from Cal Poly and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, with a Minor in Economics from CSU Sacramento. Ken served on the board of the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy where he was awarded Alumnus of the Year and gives back through various educational endeavors which he believes are the foundation for creating tomorrow’s leaders.
Linda brings more than 25 years of leadership and experience in business management and human services, dedicated to strengthening and supporting youth, families, and communities. Her work spans nonprofit organizations, child welfare programs, health and social services, the juvenile justice system, and both K-12 and higher education. Linda is a passionate advocate for children, youth, transitional-aged youth (TAY), and families facing challenges, with a deep commitment to creating opportunities for growth, stability, and long-term success.
She holds a Bachelor of Education in Vocational Education, a Master of Education in Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis in Gender Equity, from California State University, Sacramento, and a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) degree from the University of Southern California.
Linda is a wife and mother of two exceptional adult sons. In her free time, Linda enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending Broadway Sacramento, Music Circus, and Hornet Basketball at Sacramento State.
Erin Wood is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and oversees the Short-Term Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization, Supporting Community Connections and Sprouts Preschool programs, as well as the Quality Assurance Department. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California.
Erin relocated to Sacramento in 2015 from Los Angeles where she had been working at a non-profit children’s mental health agency for 10 years. In addition to her mental health experience, she has 3 years of experience working in a level 12 residential treatment facility in Los Angeles County. Her experience includes school-based mental health services, outpatient mental health services, certification in numerous evidenced-based practices geared toward the treatment of children and adolescents, as well as clinical supervision and program coordination.
Danielle has been helping people pursue their passion through philanthropy for more than 20 years. She oversees the agency’s fund development program, including stakeholder communications, annual and recurring giving, grant writing, workplace giving, major & planned gifts, special events, and impact reporting.
Originally from Seattle, Danielle led communications for the University of Washington Foundation and helped her alma mater raise funds for scholarships, professorships, and capital improvements. Upon relocating to Sacramento in 2016, she sought an organization committed to creating a level playing field and the chance at a successful life for youth who have suffered abuse or neglect. She is honored to work with the first-rate child advocates and mental health professionals at the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento and to play a small role in mitigating the harmful effects of neglect and abuse endured by our area’s children and teens.
Monica oversees employee relations, recruitment, and compliance, and works closely with leadership to support staff and day-to-day operations across the agency. With over six years of experience in human resources, Monica is known for her approachable, solutions-focused style and her commitment to clear communication and consistency. She takes a practical approach to her work, helping navigate employee matters while supporting a positive and effective workplace. She is currently pursuing a degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, further building on her interest in workplace dynamics and team development. Monica is committed to supporting the people behind the work and helping create an environment where staff feel supported and able to succeed.
Karen has 43 years of experience working with at-risk youth and families in a variety of therapeutic roles and can honestly say she continues to love every minute of the journey. She specializes in developing and providing supportive training for individuals who work in the mental health and educational field, with expertise in Crisis Intervention, Suicide Intervention and Commercial Sexual Exploitation. As the Training Manager, she oversees an extensive training program and supports the residential components of the Children’s Receiving Home.
